The Hawaii Saxophone Foundation will hold auditions for the second annual Hawaii High School Saxophone Ensemble.  Students will have the opportunity to work with Hawaii’s top saxophone music educators and professionals. 

On November 2, 2017 the Hawaii Saxophone Foundation sponsored a free masterclass with saxophonist David Sanborn at the Blue Note Hawaii for a small and intimate group of saxophonists.

Blur is the first piece commissioned by the Hawaii Saxophone Foundation. Composed by UH Professor Thomas Osborne he describes his piece as a reflection between music and the visual arts.

Hawaii-born saxophonist Allen Won returns from New York for a masterclass covering fundamentals and concepts of playing the saxophone.

We are thrilled to share highlights from the recent University of Hawai‘i Saxophone Choir concert, which featured an exciting program with several premieres for the ensemble.

The University of Hawai‘i Saxophone Choir presents an exciting program with several new premiers for this ensemble including: Elsa’s Procession to the Cathedral (arr. Kaneshiro), Allegro from Beethoven’s Wind Octet (arr. El-Farrah), and Va! Laisse Couler me Larmes  (arr. Yukumoto).
